STREGA is a three-channel film installation presenting a three-part narrative of the Witch and her quest for identity and belonging. Three dancers perform simultaneously on three circular surfaces or ‘environments’; each isolated and rotating in the vastness of a giant, black void. Contextualising her connection to nature, magic and spirits, STREGA reclaims the alterity of the Witch in a broader exploration of self discovery, the female experience and what it means to challenge the boundaries of body, gender and self. Funded by the Hanlon Larsen Screen Fellowship, Flinders University, Mercury CX and Adelaide Film Festival. Releasing 2025.
